Dremio, the Data-as-a-Service Platform company, announced Dremio University, a free online training program for data engineers, analysts, and data scientists. Each Dremio University track is designed to solve today’s data challenges and help maximize the potential of Dremio’s Data-as-a-Service platform.
Courses are designed for the specific needs of Data Engineers, Data Consumers, and System Administrators. Learning objectives cover critical topics, including the concepts of Data-as-a-Service, integrations, security, performance tuning, and advanced product configurations. Students of the program will learn how to gain insights from data faster and how to minimize deployment time. Each student will gain hands-on experience through a private instance of Dremio Enterprise Edition, hosted on their behalf.
We have developed a curriculum to help the open source data community accelerate the successful deployment and use of Dremio,” said Kelly Stirman, vice president strategy and CMO, Dremio. “We’re committed to educating data consumers on the power of our Data-as-a-Service platform and its applications.”
Dremio University provides comprehensive courses, videos, and learning assessments that are cover basic as well as advanced topics for the Dremio platform. Courses available for registration today include:
D101: Dremio Fundamentals — This course provides a basic understanding of Dremio and is appropriate for all users, including data consumers and administrators. Upon completion, students will understand how to connect data sources, differentiate physical and virtual datasets, explore and curate data, and analyze data with Dremio, using business intelligence (BI) and data science tools.
D102: Understanding Data Reflections — Data consumers need the ability to perform analysis at the speed of thought. Dremio provides a new approach to this challenge called Data Reflections. This course provides an in-depth exploration of Data Reflections, how they work, how to analyze query plans, and best practices for Data Reflection design.
D103: Dremio for Data Consumers — This course introduces in-depth concepts of data discovery, using BI tools with Dremio and Dremio with Python and R. Students will learn how to curate data with virtual datasets, how to collaborate with other users through Dremio, and how to use Dremio with popular BI and data science tools, such as Tableau and Python.
