The Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Library System is working through Penn Foster to offer free online courses. These course packs will enable patrons to learn, review and practice basic skills related to most careers.
Courses include Digital Literacy, Soft Skill, Basic Math, Math for Careers, and Adult Literacy. Penn Foster career packs are supported by the funds from the New York State Library’s Adult Literacy Library Service Program.
Each course pack can be checked out with an up-to-date library card. The loan period is for four weeks and can be renewed once. The courses have been designed to be intuitive and easy to follow.
Staff at Olean, Prendergast, Patterson, Dunkirk, Ellicottville, Fredonia (Darwin R Barker) libraries have gone through a training to support any questions.
